Late on a Sunday night ... listening to some sweet jazz ... don't know who ... and I'm wondering "Why am I doing this?". "Quite franky", I answer myself, with all the righteous indignation I can muster "that is none of you're business ... and stop reading over my shoulder."
Actually, the reason for the blog is so secondary to the actual writing ... to putting whatever I have to say out there, that I can 't even bother to come up with a lame reason for having one. I'm don't even care if no one reads it (it would be cool is some one did though). I think Man has an unconcious desire to heard by the masses and, right or wrong, he will give full rein to this desire at a moments notice. Turn on the TV, radio ... open a newspaper and you will hear the most mindless drivel. Buried in the miasma of muck you will find nuggets ... thank goodness. John Stewart, Lewis Black, Rick Mercer, Peter Griffin, Harvey Birdman ... all worthy of note and notice as the pearls amongst the swine of mass media.
As long as voices like these can still be heard, I have some hope that some sense will seep into the common conciousness.
Cease fire in Lebanon ... I wonder if the citizens of Lebanon will notice.

Struck Dumb
I am constantly amazed at the blind stupidity of my fellow humans (I include myself in this this ... on a fairly regular basis). However, there are times when I am struck speechless by the painful idiocy of my fellow homo sapiens.
Case in point, the website www.landoverbaptist.org. More to the point, the Reader Mail. I was amazed (and appalled) to discover, not only that people thought this was a real site, but that they were actually asking "The Pastor" for advice. One women wanted help finding a "Christian" video game and another guy wanted help with identifiying a demon that had possessed his friend. I could be falling into the same trap as these hapless souls, by taking the mail as serious, rather than spoof, but for the love of God, get some perspective !!!. Any site that sells a thong with "What would Jesus do?" emblazoned across the crotch, can't be trying to spread the Good Word ...seriously !!
